2nd Annual Cruise-In, Saturday, May 28th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Morrow Plaza. This event is sponsored by Bryson's Auto Repair & Performance.
The annual Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 30th at noon. Line-up for participants begins at 11:00 am at the old elementary school on Pike Street. The parade route will travel along Pike Street, with a brief stop on the bridge for an honor ceremony, continue onto Second Street and will conclude at the Morrow Cemetery with guest speaker Patrick Dugan, retired Army Major.
The Village of Morrow officials would like to encourage residents to do some spring clean-up and maintenance of their properties. The Village of Morrow Zoning Department will be assessing properties for violations. The main areas of concern will be garbage and refuse; untagged/non-working vehicles; fence and outdoor structure maintenance; weed and brush debri removal; and general yard maintenance (specifically regular mowing). All zoning violations are subject to fines and/or penalties.
The Village of Morrow contracts with Rumpke for waste removal and they will collect all waste if it is properly prepared. Brush must be tied and bundled with a length of 4 foot or less. All bulk items including furniture, mattresses and sofas must be wrapped in plastic for contractor's safety.
The Village is also looking for volunteers to help organize a community clean-up day in April. Please contact the Village office at 899-2821 if you are interested in helping.
